TDS or Total Dissolved solid tells about the quantity of water-soluble fertilizers present in Hydroponic solution. Higher the amount of fertilizers, higher will be the TDS Value of the Nutrition Solution.
Different plants have different nutritional requirements. In
Hydroponics it is denoted by TDS Value. To increase TDS, fertilizers is added and to decrease TDS, water is added to the solution.
For Hydroponics Solution
Add 2-gram NPK
2-gram Calcium Nitrate
1 gram Epsom Salt
to 1 liter of RO water.
TDS 2811 ppm
After adding 200 ml of water
TDS lowered to 2447 ppm
After adding 500 ml of water
TDS lowered to 2080 ppm
To adjust pH Make a solution of Citric Acid in water and add it Hydroponic solution drop by drop till the desired pH is achieved.
