Are there any plants that shouldn't be grown in clay pots?
So which is the best to buy for home?
thank you
Summer Rayne Oakes, 'Plant One on me' introduced me to your nursery. I purchased a Hoya & a Begonia. My dilemma now is choosing the correct size pot, I like unpainted clay, but the Begonias are top heavy I don't want to use a pot that is so big the roots are lost in a mountain of soil, but the plant will not fall over in a breeze; or small enough for the root structure but the plant are top heavy again. Thank you for all your information and the time you put into your video. My husband's family were Christmas tree farmers and nurserymen so I appreciate how hard your job is.
Thank you Byron , will you please discuss over airpot container.. It advantages and disadvantages.
Can I grow Cycas plant in plastic pots
Thanks for this. I never get tired of Logee's videos–and plants too!
Thanks a Lotttt.really helped. I delayed buying claypot for my indoor plants and let them stay in plastic pots that i bought them in for about 10 to 15 days. I noticed that there was fungus in the roots for one of my peace lily plants and zz plant. Plastic pots are bad for those plants that do not like to hold water and get sick in moist conditions. Specially for those plants like peacelily and zz which need water only once in a week with good drainage. I somehow tried to save my plants from fungus by washing off the soil from the roots and repotted to all fresh soil in clay pots. Fingers crossed. To put plants in plastic pots is like trying to put on plastic clothes and live in them 24×7!
Hello!
Mr Martin can I grow a Boston Fern in a terracotta pot?
Thanking you
Sheetal
Good information thanks
Bravo, useful content and well delivered
Great comparison.
I decided to put papaya, star fruit, and papaya plants I bought on your site in June into five gallon fiber "smart" pots. They grew very well outside during the summer, but when I moved them inside I noticed that roots grew right throughout material into a ground, so it was necessary to cut some of them to move pots.
I love Logee's plants. Very high quality plants. Thank you.
