In this film, organic market gardeners Frank and Josje talk about why the supermarket system doesn’t work and how Community Supported Agriculture fits into a new story for food growing. CSA members help farmers to grow the best quality vegetables and to nurture healthy soils by committing to receive a vegetable box every week for a season.

That way, the farmer can get on with growing great food and sending it direct to their customers, without having to accommodate the profit-geared demands of the supermarket chains, which drive conventional growers to produce less nutritious vegetables in ways that damage the soil. This is the future of food, a future in which both people and planet are healthier!

  6. Looks like most of what they are growing is weeds. Crazy grocery stores , wanting consistent quality. I wonder what they charge for their produce? I’m sure it’s not cheap. If any of you have grown a garden I’m sure you’re aware that it’s kinda important to weed your rows. Most produce does not compete well with weeds. And regardless how you feed your soil ( green manure, animal manure, or fertilizer) you don’t waste those nutrients by growing weeds.

    The more toxic the human body and mind, the more toxic the environment will be.

    We always want to eat natural organic safe food.
    Therefore, natural organic safe food should be given the highest priority in the distribution of production in all areas.

Love it, I so want to grow organic food, eating plant based foods is the future, I would have some cows, sheep and goats for the milk to make organic cheese and ice cream in small batches not for slaughter because I don't want to injest their pain, that's just me but it's the future you gotta find a way to feed more people as human beings continue to reproduce with less land

Fantastic film, all people should live like this, but city's remove us from nature and the nurture that goes with it…I'm in Oz and always hope to meet like minded people- but not that many around. Our Community garden has very few members…I grow vegies in containers and have several fruit trees, one day I hope to return to a large property. Blessings to all earth lovers. 🙏🌟☮️
