  1. Oh, this is my issue, I keep waiting for having my land and just cant live in the present for that reason. Thank you for encouragement and different point of view.

  2. Thank you Heather Jo! This was very encouraging for a lifelong tenant surrounded by "landed" or about to be "landed" permies. I've grown a resilient personality by having to adapt to so many changes in my life & location. You've given me some practical tips but more importantly boosted my confidence in myself as a permaculture designer! 3 years in this location with 4 management changes & 3 buildings erected around our urban courtyard garden. Huge changes to sun & wind aspects yet my garden is thriving & more & more neighbors in the building are seeing the possibilities for urban courtyard gardening. Most come to me for information about access, seeds or just "gardening tips". Some have suggested I offer a "garden tour" or "gardening course". Current management has changed attitude 180 degrees due to the resilience of Nature & my quiet persistence in gardening wherever I can.

  3. I am blessed with a 11 acre property in the beautiful Himalayas and a fairly large budget. Water is really abundant in this area.
The mosquitoes don’t like me digging and they let me know..

  4. Great wisdom – I am learning how to be more creative – especially since we are having a Heatwave in Portland – I am finding many things (which would’ve ended up in a landfill) around the neighborhood that I can use for a shade screen or cloth for the garden 🍓🥕🍆🍅🥬Thank you –

  5. I am sooo intimidated by permaculture but feel such a strong pull to do it bc of the impact. I just signed up for your 52 week course. It’s bringing up so many internal questions!
