Choosing the right covering material for the greenhouse is critical. This one choice could make or break the entire performance of the greenhouse. When making our selection we need to consider cost, durability, lifespan, UV Protection, insulating value, light transmission, appearance (transparent, translucent, opaque, color, etc.) and what is will do to the light (diffuse). I personally feel that the best material for a durable 4 season greenhouse will be clear, light disusing, have 2 or 3 layers, have an R value of at least 2, be UV protected, have a long lifespan and able to hold up the our elements. This is why we chose triple wall polycarbonate from www.advancegreenhouses.com. They also have all sorts of materials to meet everyone’s needs and carry many other important greenhouse components. They had high quality material at the best price I could find, that is why we chose to buy our material through them. If you are building a greenhouse I would recommend checking them out, I bet they have what you are looking for.
