2014 Garden Journal #13 - first look in the greenhouse and sprouted seedlings

Cleaned up the greenhouse and sealed up air leaks. After doing that it was 90*F in there and about 60*F outside. Seedlings from the last video have sprouted. As always, more to come.

  1. Gogi (Wolfberries) first time this year here too (That reminds me I have to send Dale Calder some shipping). High in antioxidants you probably know. I hear you are not supposed to eat them If you're on blood thinners. I saw awhile ago you liked Mangchi's video on Kim Chi! Napa cabbage first time this year here-I'm gonna make some middle aged fat white guy Kim Chi! I would really love to try Okra after watching southern gardeners for so long. If I had a big GH I would definitely try it. Looking forward to seeing all your stuff. I'm trying so many new things this year and I see you are doing a lot of them 🙂 Later!

  2. Looking good Cliff you have lots of tomatos. I grew my kiwis from seed off some shop bought fruit. Funny the mantion as I potted some of them up yesterday. As far as I know you need plants two to get fruit. I need to get a greenhouse made its on the list 😉 Dave

  3. Hello, Cliff!
    Nice update.
Your seedlings looks great. Liked the spread of different kinds of vegs. Kiwi and grapes looks interesting.
I`ve got Avocados and Citrus growing in my greenhouse, but never tested out Kiwi. Would have been cool trying. I know Southpawdave is testing growout of some Kiwi plants.

    All the best,
    Halvor.

  4. This is my 3rd or 4th year growing hardy kiwi. Beautiful plants but tricky. Hard to get the female and male to flower at the same time. Still no fruit and a few challenges but I'm still trying.

  5. Does Halvor  have hardy Kiwi? I must have mist it, but if not he should 😉
Do you know if it's a female or male plant, you need to have both, one male for six female plants should do it…Hey, I didn't make those rules LOL Your seedlings are looking great!
