Passive Solar Greenhouse Case Studies: http://bit.ly/2ERJKtY

When we designed our greenhouse almost 10 years ago we used an old book by James C. McCullagh, called The Solar Greenhouse Book. In they described a process and methodology that was based on the use of glass instead of polycarbonate. This meant that the greenhouse was to be designed to be used and optimized at a specific month of the year to reduce refraction and reflection. Now with widespread polycarbonate the month of use is less important as polycarbonate does not interact with light, in the same way, allowing greenhouses to take more useful shapes. In this video I talk about how to design your greenhouse, its shape, aspect ratio and site location.

I happen to have a copy of James C. McCullagh's book entitled "THE SOLAR GREENHOUSE BOOK. I understand that you can have a lower roof pitch because of the diffusing properties of polycarbonate. What I want to know is how this new layout impacts the thermal and reflective qualities of the north wall
How high should the knee wall be?
Excellent tip. Just changed my plans for our greenhouse.
