I did exactly your design but used metal pies and reservoirs but they do not collect water.
The one next to the green house, that collect s for my cooking station works fine, when there is a snow storm.
I play on Genesis arctic.
Any idea, why?

Just FYI you don’t need a water source with greenhouse because using greenhouse auto waters your plants (hence 300% effectiveness)
