I want to connect a 30×30 greenhouse to my cottage and have living space in it. Any advice?
Hi firstly love the videos .can I ask if you get chance look at my videos of my indoor tomato growing in a telescopic pot ive made .would love to hear your thoughts .please be kind thankyou paul
what is 1) ideal night time drop 2) minimum night time drop for example if daytime is 25 celcius can nite time be 23 or should it be minus 10 and what is bare minimum? thx
Even after living 20 years here in SoCal I still think temps in C, my simple conversion rules are:
68F = 20C,
86F = 30C,
>90F = too hot
I have a green house in cancun mexico as a school project and we are really struglling with the heat right now
I turned off your video would have been nice just as a courtesy to give it in Fahrenheit. I have no idea internally what Celsius is and I don't want to look it up I'll just block you
plant need light or temperature indoor please help
there are two types of light incandescent lamp and fluorescent lamp which one is best
This was very helpful. Thank you so much.
I have a fan but it's sketchy to control the air temp in my little greenhouse; however, since I put heat hose in the bed I can keep the root temperature near 65F so the mornings get back to temperature quickly.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr8 video and informative
True enough kilo is a 1000
How to control temperature
I’m in st David Arizona. It’s super warm during the daytime and super cool at nights! 😭 No electricity because it’s just a tiny greenhouse.
nice, those temperatures are about where my seed starting closet is at, just got a little thermometer with humidity gauge to check where it's at a few times a day, if it's getting to hot I just open the door a little.
what about humidity? for the microgreens?
Other than the circulation fans, do you actively control humidity?
queen creek, az? that's only a couple hrs from me. btw i just resubbed to your channel. pretty sure i used to be subbed last year and i'm not sure what happened.
Are those heaters all good with high humidity?
thoughts on ideal humidity?
June 9 Kelowna guided tour, one day, has the same price as the 5-day course. I think that might be an error. Yeah, it's five times as much as the one-day master class.
I use this data logger in my greenhouse so I can track temps at various times. https://www.amazon.com/Minnow-Temperature-Humidity-Data-Logger/dp/B00IBP70MM/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1519011338&sr=8-18&keywords=temperature+data+logger+usb
great video!!! Does any one have any good sources for Greenhouse hi/low thermometers in Fahrenheit ?
Hey Curtis, I watched another one of your videos called "Huge Delivery Day!!!" And I was curious as to what make and model of van you do your deliveries in?
I know this is off topic from the video, but what type of silage tarps are people using and where can I get them?
70f/21c at night & 74f/23c day (so well within optimal parameters)… good growth rate 2+ cm/day in DWC. The fan leaves are 180 deg. flat so they are taking in maximum light & that's how I validate this temp cycle
Very helpful data, Curtis. Thank you. Hope we can get you to NY soon.
Hi Curtis, this is the first time using the Red / blue / white Led light on your seedlings? it's really beneficial to the crops or just the t5 6.500k will do the job? I want to improve my seedling house .. and i'm not sure about the Led lights .. =) thx
Remember when the guy at Kind Organics said he wanted to sell up. I just found the real estate listing: $249,000. https://www.redlineproperties.ca/kind-organics/
You have a serious number of microgreens going . Good work Thank you for all the inspiration!
Curtis I'm just getting started with notiller should I start with 4-point seeder or spring for the much more expensive 6 row seeder?
Thank you so much Curtis. For me I don't have electricity in the garden coz I am in a community garden. How do I deal with the heat to succeed in a micro greens project.
When just growing micros, you want them to stretch. One temp fits all. When you grow mixed crops in one house, something is going to suffer.
What did y use to cover your green house..
V helpful thanks
Good info thanks, what is the Ideal humidity for micogreens?
Hi Curtis, I'm looking at setting up an urban farm in the next few years with possibly between 1/4 and 1/3 of an acre. My worry is the prices you seem to sell your produce at seem a lot higher than the average of what they sell at in my country (UK). A head of Cauliflower here is £1 ($1.76 cad) at most farmers markets and around 50p (88c cad) for a kilo of carrots. I'd imagine these prices are due to all the neighbouring EU countries with cheap imports. Would you say its unlikely to profit from these prices?
Damn Curtis, I went out and bought a 6000KWh heater and it costs me $37,800 per 18hr's to run lol
Hey Curtis is that a new led grow light your testing? We use led's connected to a light meter and they kick on and off to boost light levels in our greenhouse in scotland, (so on a lot) if it falls below or above a set level, basically the same idea as you just described with your heating and cooling in the greenhouse. good on the shoulder seasons and winter. love that thermometer, I have a similar one but it's nowhere near that big, looks like an old fashion barometer from a ship.
Hello !I've been watching lots of your videos , not sure if i missed or u didn't post nothing about thrips! What methods do u use to get rid of them? Thank you .
Do u also use the grow light?
Thanks Curtis !
I purchased a temperature data logger, it is a small and cheap device to follow the temperature changes.
