What do you think?

  1. hey Mike, have you said if and why you do not like the end caps? Also would you ever paint the downspouts or just not necessary? Thanks for showing us this great food growing hack.

  2. Dearest Mike, I would pay you to make me two of these in a longer size if you could ship them . I am growing under a 4 ft grow light so I figure I could get two 48 inch ones out of one downspout piece. Peace and Happiness to you in full measure. I just found your channel this year and I definitely count it as one of the best things that happened to me in 2019!

  3. Mike, great video! Here is an idea for AFTER Jan 1, 2020. for an additional $2.50 to the price you are now charging, you can add a small zip-lock bag of Pok Choy Seeds to get things off and running! Just a thought. Marry Christmas and have a safe New Year!

  4. I live in Vermont so it is much shorter growing season, adaptions of your designs have worked well this past season. I'm going to try downspout ladder similar to yours this coming year since last year was successful with single plant containers. I enjoy learning from your video's. Thank you.

  5. Calcium Nitrate dissolves poorly in cold water. I have a tall glass that I fill with water and heat it in the microwave for 60 to 90 seconds, so that the water is warm to hot. The Calcium Nitrate then dissolves easy when stirred. Then the dissolved Calcium Nitrate is added to the 5 gallons of nutrient mix.

You always need to be careful when microwaving water. If you microwave water too long, it can go past boiling into super heated water. The super heated water can explode when the surface tension is broken! So, never microwave water too long!

I’d like to see the expensive Farmtek NFT tray video. Maybe you could order more end caps. I’d like to know how well those end caps seal.

I also use the Masterblend, Calcium Nitrate, and Epsom Salt mix. For greens, 10 grams, 10 grams, and 6 grams per five gallons of RO water. For fruiting plants, 12 grams, 12 grams, and 6 grams per five gallons of RO water. I then set the pH from 5 to 6 with a small pipet of hydroponic pH up. I buy the Masterblend, Calcium Nitrate, and Epsom Salt from Morgan County Seeds.

  6. Very simple and well presented Mike! Great Holiday gifts for anytime of the year. Hope your Holiday Season is enjoyable. Happy Gardening! -Bob…
