You can see how to use 3 oz Dixie cups and foam in my other videos. If you prefer not to make your own, you can use what most hydroponic growers use:

Keep on Growin’ with Mike VanDuzee
Truckin' down the road through Texas as winter begins, thinking ahead about Spring, dreaming of growing my own produce, found your site…SO GLAD!! Enjoy your easy spirit, simplicity, and really like your hummingbirds and wifey interruptions lol…can't wait to get back home and start this INDOORS for winter to start Spring off right…Hope it works for me..Thank you😄
Is there a video where you share the measurements of the fertilizer and calcium nitrate and epsom salt according to water volume?
Mike, would you be able to grow – Jalapeño Peppers and Poblano Peppers in your downspout growers? 1 Per spout I assume. I'm looking on your Etsy shop
imagine that you had a gourd and grew gourds inside it
You keep yours outside… wondering I’m in New Zealand… would it work here with the stuff being outside? Or do I keep it indoors?
So the simplest method with the Almond Breeze jugs – do you need to paint those black first – and then the other color?
Thank you for the inspiration! I love the hummingbird! So – can you explain why most hydroponic systems use a aerator – and you're not using one?
Great intro. Only back of mind concern " will the amount of "plastic" used get into the food chain?"
Great videos and very detailed! <3 I'm thinking of using the downspouts. How often do would I need to change the water? Is the water reusable for potted plants or the garden outside? Thank you so much!!!
If you are growing plants for propogating, try the MotherPlant parts A & B fertilizer.
You might try some little carrot pieces for dog snacks. My two dogs love them, and it keeps them svelte.
Very helpful as I price out literally 100s of dollars worth of equipment. The pool noodle hack is brilliant. For your grows in down spouts, are there plants with roots too large for that?
I live in the Philippines.. having something to feed my plant is hard to find..I just starting out..any suggestions would help.. ot set up for fish..thanks
Hello Hello,Thank you for sharing to grow plants in a beautiful .Thank you
Love y'all s porch,,,,, good one Mike 👍👍😀😀✌️ cya tomorrow 👋
sir very cool place u have there, especially the background bird feeding from flower
Your channel is the most informative and cost effective I have come across so far! Thank you!
Hey brother you got a great camera presents your voice is good we can understand everything nice and clear I don't know if it was planned but the interruption by the wife was perfect okay my question I probably haven't watched enough you probably answer it you're the second person I've seen doing this with no pumps no bubbles how is the air and the nutrients etc etc getting to the roots without the roots rotting how is it even getting to the moisture in the beginning
Pool noodle FTW!
Would Glass Juice jars work with the pool noodles? Noted that I have to spray paint to prevent algae and maybe grow in shaded area. Thanks
I'm trying to do this with green onions, after a couple weeks they seem to start dying off. I'm growing them indoors with led plant bulbs and a 3 gallon bucket with lid. I set up a bubbler to add oxygen back into the water, I'm wondering if this method only works on greens. I'm keeping only the roots in the water and using miracle grow fertilizer. I'm trying to change out the water to see if it revives the onions. They were doing well for the first 2 weeks. Any thoughts?
For the jugs, do you need to top up the water constantly so the tiny roots can always reach the water?
what happens to the transplanted microgreens? Do they grow really big and then go to seed? and what about the microgreens that are not transplanted? they are going to die before there's another opening? Also, some plastic is not good for food.
i WONDER WHY HE DOESN'T NEED A WATER PUMP?
Thanks for your giving spirit! Question: Can you use the nutrient formula in a hydrophonic set up with pump?
Hello .. You are awesome in your field .. But I wonder about oxygen. What about oxygen.
Thank you for the great video. I’m excited to start growing. How much sunlight do the plants need? Do they need as much sun as their cousins in the ground?
With $ being low, this is brilliant. 🇨🇦
What do you use in your hummingbird feeder to attract and feed the hummingbirds?
Dude your awesome thanks for this.
Wow is that OWL in your garden ?.? It’s cool 😎 but it would scared 😱 me at night if I see it in my garden at night . Thank you just watching this try to understand how people grow green in water .
Thank you 🙏 I am planning to start my own hydro garden. I appreciate your vid and advise. ✨🌻👍
You have the most calming voice. And a wonderful teaching technique.
That smoothie looks soo good!. What does Mrs. VanDuzee use besides greens?
Giving it a go in The Bahamas .
What about the water? How often do you have to change it? Water the plants??
I actually took advantage of the 2 month shelter in place and went nuts on amazon to begin this hydro journey. It kept me busy learning from all the expert you tubes like this one. I’m finding it’s still a learning process and you can make it as simple as you like or go whole hog. I’m in the middle somewhere lol…. thx for your videos!
Ooooh you have a hoverbird!
Could use some advice on my hydroponics. My spinach and other plants are just burning up in the sun. They were doing fine for a week and now I just burned away. Is it a problem that the sun heats up the water in the Kratcy method?
great, love your patience
Hello Mike. I started to grow some Bak Choy about 4 weeks ago but they are obviously not doing well. I used the MasterBlend formula and follow the steps as you said. Today my veggies are small , pale and skinny. I don't know what when wrong. I used the water out of the tap but i did not test the Ph. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks
