You can see how to use 3 oz Dixie cups and foam in my other videos. If you prefer not to make your own, you can use what most hydroponic growers use:

  1. Truckin' down the road through Texas as winter begins, thinking ahead about Spring, dreaming of growing my own produce, found your site…SO GLAD!! Enjoy your easy spirit, simplicity, and really like your hummingbirds and wifey interruptions lol…can't wait to get back home and start this INDOORS for winter to start Spring off right…Hope it works for me..Thank you😄

  2. Great videos and very detailed! <3 I'm thinking of using the downspouts. How often do would I need to change the water? Is the water reusable for potted plants or the garden outside? Thank you so much!!!

  3. Very helpful as I price out literally 100s of dollars worth of equipment. The pool noodle hack is brilliant. For your grows in down spouts, are there plants with roots too large for that?

  4. Hey brother you got a great camera presents your voice is good we can understand everything nice and clear I don't know if it was planned but the interruption by the wife was perfect okay my question I probably haven't watched enough you probably answer it you're the second person I've seen doing this with no pumps no bubbles how is the air and the nutrients etc etc getting to the roots without the roots rotting how is it even getting to the moisture in the beginning

  5. I'm trying to do this with green onions, after a couple weeks they seem to start dying off. I'm growing them indoors with led plant bulbs and a 3 gallon bucket with lid. I set up a bubbler to add oxygen back into the water, I'm wondering if this method only works on greens. I'm keeping only the roots in the water and using miracle grow fertilizer. I'm trying to change out the water to see if it revives the onions. They were doing well for the first 2 weeks. Any thoughts?

  6. what happens to the transplanted microgreens? Do they grow really big and then go to seed? and what about the microgreens that are not transplanted? they are going to die before there's another opening? Also, some plastic is not good for food.

  7. Thank you for the great video. I’m excited to start growing. How much sunlight do the plants need? Do they need as much sun as their cousins in the ground?

  8. Wow is that OWL in your garden ?.? It’s cool 😎 but it would scared 😱 me at night if I see it in my garden at night . Thank you just watching this try to understand how people grow green in water .

  9. I actually took advantage of the 2 month shelter in place and went nuts on amazon to begin this hydro journey. It kept me busy learning from all the expert you tubes like this one. I’m finding it’s still a learning process and you can make it as simple as you like or go whole hog. I’m in the middle somewhere lol…. thx for your videos!

  10. Could use some advice on my hydroponics. My spinach and other plants are just burning up in the sun. They were doing fine for a week and now I just burned away. Is it a problem that the sun heats up the water in the Kratcy method?

  11. Hello Mike. I started to grow some Bak Choy about 4 weeks ago but they are obviously not doing well. I used the MasterBlend formula and follow the steps as you said. Today my veggies are small , pale and skinny. I don't know what when wrong. I used the water out of the tap but i did not test the Ph. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks
