No Fuss Garden: 15 Sep 18

#NoWeedGarden #BreedingVegetables In this episode, I’m in the no-fuss garden talking about my breeding goals and expectations. I’m going to cross eggplant, okra, and melon. I’m also evaluating squash and peppers. No-fuss gardening utilizes a weed-barrier and is watered/fertilized with water-soluble fertilizer. The same same fertilizer I use in the greenhouse, I use out here. In fact, the method of growing is considered flow-to-waste hydroponically.

MY STORE ON AMAZON. Everything I use for gardening, I try to put in my store including all my microgreen and hydroponic stuff. So, when I talk about anything that interests you and you think, “Hummm, where can I get that?” Well, it’s all right here, you pay nothing extra for using it, and it’s always updated! Please check out my store here: https://amzn.to/2vG5Pww

As an Amazon affiliate, if you click on one of the product links or my amazon storefront, I do receive a small commission. The best thing about it is that it doesn’t add a penny to your purchase price! Thank you for the support!

  1. The first zucchini that you showed that you said is the one you aren't particularly interested in, is the only one that I'd be interested. I'm working on breeding the Vining characteristic back into zucchini so it can be grown on a trellis.

  2. WOW look at you making your own designer fruits. I thought of you today!!! I'm trying your fermenting on my cucumber seeds! I'll be roasting some Ancho Chilies tomorrow (collecting the seed). Then I'll can some Subway style Banana Peppers (Saving the seed). I love this part of growing! You ROCK!

  3. Wow Brent, I sure hope you keep good notes. You're so far off into this stuff, I think we're gonna have to have an interventions 🙂 No, you've really got some cool projects going on. Good thing we aren't neighbors, or I wouldn't be able to get anything done for sneaking over and looking at your projects 🙂

  4. Great video. I like your weed barrier cloth, at the end of the season could the holes be patched and new holes be used the next year or would a person have to use the same holes next year?
