My Veggie-Breeding Adventures

I’ve finished my first round of seed-saving for 3 of my tomatoes, Baby Beef, Donovan, and Dawn. Now, I have seed for Spring! I’ve removed most of the plants to make room for Pink Crush and Katie-Anne, two more of my lines of tomatoes. Love this stuff. I’ve found a fantastic new hybrid in Summer Flash, a hybrid of Madison’s Cross and my Zucchini, Scamper (newly named). Going to grow quite a few of these this Spring. On the pepper front, I’m crossing my pepper California Bryan with Lipstick to bring in some sweetness and hopefully mellow out a bit more heat. I’m also crossing California Bryan with a large, sweet stuffing pepper to create a thick-walled stuffing pepper that has a very mild amount of heat. I’d like to keep the coloration of California Bryan for both crosses.
