this looks great Brent! again I am amazed at your productivity and know-how. Would have now the opportunity to get the equipment/trays etc and expand from my tiny setup, but unfortunately the Virus has made shipping from USA virtually impossible according to the postal service here in Finland… Any suggestions for European suppliers of trays, domes, oreganoil and large quantity of seeds etc?
i grow my lettuce in t20 trays 1 tray iceburg 1 tray buttercrunch ,cut and come again ,all baby leaf ,all winter long. awsome video

Man that netpot is tiny ! 1inch u said? What brand?
We do roughly 500k a year of aquaponics lettuce to many Michelin Star chefs. If you don’t pull the roots & netpot right away & store it in the fridge like that it can easily last a month. One of our one star chefs lost a case of our product in their walk in for a month. They then found it and determined it was fine to serve. We thought he must have made a mistake so we pulled about 50 heads and stuck them in clam shells in our walk in and pulled heads every weekend to make salad for the crew. We got six or seven weeks out and realized the chef was right.
What we think happens is that with the roots intact and it being dark and cold in the walk in is that the lettuce doesn’t know it has been harvested. The plant seems to think it is just a cold snap and basically goes into stasis. Run the experiment yourself. We were blown away by the results.
