  1. I wonder if the bubblewrap will keep it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer? BTW I have some bags made of bubblewrap like that and I filled one with water to see if it would stand up, and it did, but it leaked. But it occurs to me I could just put a plastic bag inside it to make a cheap mailable insulated planter. If you put some baking parchment or aluminum foil on the bubblewrap you can carefully heat seal it with a soldering iron.

  2. Right Mike, of the 3 primary factors that allow for algae growth… Light is the easiest to control. Also keeping any top surface dry whenever possible – will greatly help.

  3. Hey there Mike, great idea! I had quite a bit of algae in mine, had to clean it all out. Was thinking about using that wide electrical tape but this is a much better idea 👍 thanks for sharing.
