This was a very enjoyable and surprising microgreens grow. The variety of this grow are Speckled Peas. It’s a very easy, dense, and heavy grow taking to hydroponics very well. The reason I call it Blackout Blondes are because of the way they look and the way I grew them totally in the dark.

Hydroponic Gardening & More with Brent

If you're interested in growing microgreens like I do, I wrote a book on it. It's at this link at in my store: https://amzn.to/2ZZdkJb.
hope your book actually shows how the hydroponics is done
I've watxhed multiplevideos of yours on how to do microgreens hydroponics not one shows how the hydroponics is done
Where did you get the black blackout domes? Are they clear ones that you just spray painted black?
How does the taste of "blackout blondes" compare to light fed peas? Side but side comparison?
i bought your book it is so helpful. How do i see the video's for people that bought the book?
imagine the weight if these had leafed out
Aren't you letting it grow just a little too tall an big? Most of the videos of microbrews have them shorter when they harvest them. I would think you are losing some tenderness.
Hi Brent, love your videos! This crop – wow! Too fun. Just about to order the book!
Noobie question here: Instead of harvesting at this point, could these tall blondes soak up a little sun (or artificial light) for a day or two more? (I would guess a clear top would be needed). My intrigue is based on if they will green up with for a chlorophyll nutritional benefit.
hehe pea pea….That made me lol. This is another inspiring video. Im a new grower and I appreciate it!
What are you using for your antifungal spray?
How often do you change the water?
Gee Brent, thanks for dragging us into the bathroom to watch you pea… 😉
Great grow once again, Brent. Thank you.
i bought so many things from ur amazon list 🙂
Aloha Brent! I'm a father of four. We homeschool our kids. I just started growing microgreens for food and to involve the kids. I cannot thank you enough for your channel. I believe soiless is the ultimate goal. We really enjoy your teachings. If you make it to the big island I'd love to cook your family an authentic Hawaiian dinner.
Aloha and God bless you!
Thank you again for another wonderful video. I have a question, is the antifungal is also to prevent mold?
Thank you kindly
Nice grow! I wonder how blonde greens would do for sale at market. I never tried blonde micro peas, but will soon. Thank you.
They are beautiful. Almost too pretty to eat.
Those peas were awesome !!
Amazing grow Brent!! I have a few minor questions about some of the details. (1) did you use your fertilizer [I know the details of that mix] at full strength or cut in half? (2) How many days did you continue the anti-fungal spray treatment? (3) Was the lower tray of fertilized water done Kratky style, and if so did you need to top it off? Thanks for sharing. David from Mobile
"Blackout Blonde", reminds me of a woman I use to date. Ha.
Brent, I believe the solo cups are fluid ounces verses dry weight ounces. Great grow! Are you going to show how you cook them?
Quite the crop in the blacked out.container. This is really small space food growing. Thanks for sharing Brent. Curious after harvesting, how long do the crops stay fresh before wilting?
Take care
Cheers
Harold
I find if you want elongated shoots like that the absolute best thing to grow is with no light. It occurs because the plants are trying to gain sunlight so they extend trying to reach light that is not there.
Lovely where do I get the blackout Dome and the vedio showing process so that we also can do it thanks this was 10 day process
right on! I grow my peas in the dark too. they get a little bitter when they turn green. How many days for you from soak to harvest? I usually go around day 9. Yours are huge, did you use any nutrient?
Hey Brent
Did you only hit them with the anti-fungal once at the begining ?
Thanks Mark
