How to Booster Fan Setup for Grow Light Systems

How to Booster Fan Setup for Grow Light Systems

1. A small light weight fan to help pull heat through your air-cooled reflector for any hydroponic or soil indoor grow. It’s also great for grow tents!

2. If you have long ducting connected to a single exhaust or intake high output fan, help keep the CFM consistent by including a booster fan midway through the ducting. This will help decrease stress in your high output fan, keep CFM consistent, and keep your grow efficient.

  1. THIS GUY IS INCORRECT ABOUT VENTING DIRECTION DO NOT FOLLOW THAT PART. an air cooled hood is supposed to have the air blown over it to cool it not suck hot air out. the main reason is it is harder for a fan to suck out hot air then to blow in cold thus it makes the fan more efficient and well as the temp cooler, not to mention it is just the correct way. that said sucking hot out is still 1000x better than not using an air cooled hood, but it is not as good as blowing cool air in

  2. what is the smallest carbon filter setup that works? One plant in a "mini fridge" size box. I can't have any odor coming from my setup. I also don't need a loud fan drawing attention. thanks

  3. I have a 2.5x 4.5×6.5 tent in my 2 car, unheated uncooled garage. I have a dimmable 1000w light, I plan to just keep it at 50% for 5 plants. I was wondering..do I need to went it all the way outside or would it be fine to just vent it into the rest of the garage?

  4. You don't need that particular setup. What I do for a budget grow is just connect the duct fan on the roof of it and have the air exhausted. If you have an air-cooled reflector, just get some ducting to connect the fan to the reflector for cooling.

  5. hey bro i have a 5x2x10 room sp 100 cfm is what i need but my question is can i use just booster fan to clean the air in my grow room ? just one or do i need an intake fan as well im using a cooling tube and a carbon filter so is it ok if i get a GYO2402 6-Inch 240 CFM Air Duct Inline Hydroponic Booster Fan looks just like yours , ill set it up just like yours but ont he oposite side of the light tube ill have the filter then the fan pushing it trough the light and out.. do you recommend that?
