Container Peas are ready to harvest for the first time! I’ve done this grow before and this will be a staple grow in my greenhouse! I did determine that the pea variety Oregon Sugar Pod will be the one variety over Sugar Snap because they grow in a more compact manner.

Why they are so slim ??
are there any seeds in them
Those were some good looking peas.

I must have missed it but when did yyou put the shade cloth up?
I put mine up in late may!
Chuck
Have a great time. Best wishes Bob.
Looking good!!!
I always love to see what you've got growin on! I love snap peas in a stir fry…yummy! I started 12 seeds and accidentally got the rest of the packet wet…so guess what? Yup I had to plant them all out. Ha! Looks like 'm going to be sharing with the family on this haul! LOL well …peas happen! I've got dozens of flowers sprouted and I'm waiting for the rain to stop to plant more! I tried Larry Hall's pop bottle grow system for my lettuce! Word for others that want to try this…Don't fill the tub with water until your lettuce is at least three inches tall. Yes I drowned a bunch a baby lettuce. But I have plenty more lettuce seedlngs to torture for later. Lettuce is a good one for beginners because it's cheap, you get a lot of seed and it grows really fast. (As long as you don't drown them). So I took the water out of the tubs and will replant and just top water as needed until they are 3" or so.
Looking pretty good. That's interesting how well they grow in containers. I am planting peas right now in my old chicken coop. I wish I could grow them in the winter like that.

Perfect was looking for a shorter plant to grow.
Thanks again
Paul
