I’ve heard of many greenhouses and nurseries using parboiled rice hulls, known as PBH, as a major part of their grows. I’ve used aged or composted rice hulls successfully for some time now, but it compacts a little more than I’d like and it deposits more debris in the gutters than I’d like. So, I did some extensive research on crop growth, PH, methods, etc on PBH and determined I needed to add it to my methods. I’ve got some growing in 90% PBH all the way down to 50% PBH. I’m sharing it all with you! Tell me what you think!

Hydroponic Gardening & More with Brent
Your welcome and I enjoy your videos
Bent do you live in Benton Ar. I have a source to get perlite in Benton about the same amount.
Believe it or not but I am just now watching this video for the first time. 🙁
I have no idea how I missed it. So now maybe you understand my text from yesterday? I know that I understand your confusion from the text now!!!
Where are you storing the hulls now?
Hello Brent. I don't think this stuff's available in the UK at least I've never seen it. Good luck with it, I will be keeping an eye on you. HGV.
So what's the difference in the 2 rice hulls?
I really like the looks of that stuff, but I'm gonna need a bigger truck.
Sounds interesting, Brent. I'm looking forward to hearing the results. Thanks for the info. Lisa
I really like the videos where you touch on growing mediums. Hope this refines your method even more.
Do you know what the nutritional content of both types of rice hulls are. I laughed when I saw where you were. I use to drive from McCory to Jonesboro for college! Anywho.. A local nursery uses the darker rice hulls as a compost additive in a soil mix but I have not found a lot of information on them.
Brent how did you find out where to buy it? Google? best wishes Bob.
Hello Brent, looks very interesting. Hope this works for you.
😆 Happily watching in North Warwickshire, England.
