In this video, I demonstrate putting the inside rails (trim) on and install caps to finish this project. When you do things yourself, you have to get creative. This has been a really cool adventure and I’m glad to have completed yet another project that I can be proud of and raise the property value of the old homestead. How's the fence holding up since it's been a few years?
This fence is amazing….
You have shamed every fence installer in the country. No one could have done a better job. If it took you less than 12 years, you're a genius. I'm opting for genius.
I can see that you put a lot of time and expense into the fencing however the downside is your neighbour got a free fence. Job well done.
My neighbor sucks, I shall use Barb Wire from the Gulag… Nice looking fence!!

I watched all 4 parts. Awesome fence in my opinion (but that's not saying much since I couldn't build this in my dreams! Mine would most likely not be neighbor friendly and a complete mess). I guess this is the benefit of being able to do this work yourself: You get all of those fine details in that you are most likely never gonna get using a commercial install. Sucks to not be a skilled craftsman. Good job. Please post when it is sealed and stained.
I really enjoyed your video. Could you tell me what type of fence posts, stringers and fence boards you used and also why you choose to use 6 ft boards that required a short 2 ft extension instead of 8 ft boards.

I noticed you only have a top rail/stringer & bottom, does it flex much without a Middle Rail/Stringer?
That is one of the best looking privacy fences that I have ever seen.
