Garden Prep #3 – Aged Rice Hulls

Garden Prep #3 - Aged Rice Hulls

Loaded up on some aged rice hulls for the coming spring garden. This will be the primary medium for growing in containers. I am looking forward to seeing how this works vs the traditional planting I usually do. _______________________________________

  1. HEY FRIEND ! COMPLIMENT WHAT YOUR DOING WITH THOSE RICE HULLS , WITH USING 1FT LONG SECTIONS OF WOMENS PANTY HOSE FILLED WITH WHITE RICE-AND LEFT FOR 2 WEEKS IN THE GROUND UNDER AN OLDGROWTH TREE THAT HAS ACCUMILATED A NICE BENNNEFICIOAL BACTERIA , IT WILL GROW ALL INTO YOUR RICE BAG ! THEN INTRODUCE INTO YOUR PLANTINGS , PROVIDED THE SOIL ISNT SUBJECTED TO SUNSCALD -LIKE A BUCKET IN THE HOT SUN EVERY DAY ! GOOD VIDS ON YOUTUBE.COM

  2. I'm from mtn view but now living in iligan city philippines which is on Mindanao island. I started growing vegetables in cement sacks but now i'm making containers out of landscape fabric? Just got to control the moisture and food for the vegetables to grow. drippers seem to work best for me.

  3. LOLOL It does sometimes feel like 2,515 scoops huh?!!! Well, that rich, dark, delicious material will be a spring feast for your plants! Oh how I love to see this. I'm still in a bit of snow, and this makes my day. Only difference is, I would first have to roll around in those hulls, just because I would love it so much. LOL Ok, maybe I would just sit on them, but I would have to get my hands dirty at least.  I thought I would be seeding by now, but the snow came, and I couldn't get out to get my lighting system yet. I'm counting the days to be able to plant some. The sun is shining today and I pray my daughter can take me to finally get the lights.  It's so beautiful there, and I can't wait to see what your going to do with the hulls. Please let me know what you mix with it ok? I'm off to get more Holy Cow Manure, no kidding, that's what the name is, and boy does it ever work. It's on Amazon and they deliver to the door too! 40 lb. bags and I don't have to drag them from the store by myself. (hope their still free shipping) I'm getting the "winter itchies" so your planting preps are a delight to see. Thank you, Bless, Sheila
