Well, as you guys can see from the video I was having a little bit of a clog in my dutch bucket system in my bucket actually started to leak. I also found out that the paint bucket strainers do not hold back root systems from a constant flow system. I’ve talked back-and-forth with a friend named Tod and I think the paint bucket strainers will work in a timed system. I think if you have the water flow on a timer it gives your root systems time to grow hair roots but when you have a constant flow like I do in my system it seems to grow more tap roots. I did not show it in this video but I also have a solenoid that opens and closes water flow but it’s not working very well. As you can see from the root system on this pepper plant that I take out of the bucket it has pretty good looking roots but there was a lot that turned into tap roots and clogged the drain. The upper area of my pepper plants root system almost looked like an hourglass root system but did you see all the root in the bottom of the bag and the clump of roots? That was all long tap roots on the bottom! Cray cray!
