I liked set up with the dark substrate better. The problem with the filter is that if you have evaporation and you're away, or something, the pump will burn out without water. Not everyone has an automatic refill system.

Hi Jo love the videos i would like to ask a question I'm in the UK and when I change the water comes from the tap but it's rather cold am I ok in boiling the water in a kettle and adding that in the bucket to take the chill away I've just got some new discus fish and just consurned what boiling the water would do to the fresh water ?
I actually would love to know what the plants were????
