An aquarium auto top off (ATO) is a great way to keep your aquarium topped off while your away! Especially if it doesn’t cost you anything!

Evaporation effects us all to some extent. So hopefully this project helps!

Man… thanks, I just didn't realised it before.
“ hooks up 5 gallon jug to the rim of the tank” 😎
Looks getto
thx for the ugliest solution ever. equivalent of wiping you ass with leaves.

Lol, I guess…..

Suggestion for a more stable setup is to NOT cut off the portion that fits inside the tank. Simply keep the bottle intact but just cut a uniform slit. Secondly, make the slit long enough so the bottle holder sits deeper within the tank. Also find a bottle that has thicker plastic. This way, you won't have to rely on tape to keep it steady.
Cant go in a tank with water movement? So cant be used in pretty much any saltwater tank, where movement is crucial
Congratulations you made an automatic dog water bowl
This is genius. I can imagine a reservoir tank somewhere above the aquarium would make for a solid long-term solution.
FTS.. guaranteed to last .5 days (especially with a marine tank). Cool concept, poor execution. Duck tape lol.
I love you videos I was just wondering if YouTube was your main job or if you have another job?
Some things in life are free indeed 🙂
Thanks for the video bro . 👍😘
good awesome idea but will not work at all in a big tank 😀
I ran in to a problem making this. My 10 gallon tank has a rim around for a top that came with the starter kit I got. The bottle can't make it down to the water because it gets squashed between the holder and rim. Any ideas how to overcome this?
HOW DO I USE THIS ON A RIMMED TANK?!!?
For those of you that don't have a sump and high flow. Cut the top off of one plastic bottle, drill small holes in it, and place it top up inside the tank. This will create a low flow baffle kind of like an intake refugium.
can this concept also be used with a 5g water jug. with pvc coming out of the bottom of the jug into a sump. at the sumps water level?
you never fail to amaze me!
My jaw just drop
Grat idea joey, I made it myself by looking how u made it thanks.
