TODAY WE FINALLY start to build the aquarium filters for the 120 gallon fish tanks. I went with an overhead sump for a number of reasons. Mostly because i had no choice! The tank are flat against the wall and stacked! So no hang on the backs, no sumps or canister filters and certainly no internal filters. The overhead sump allows me all the benefits of having a sump, yet i don’t have to drill the aquariums to have it! Extra water volume, all equipment out of the tank, MASSIVE space for biological media, etc… the benefits are what sold me.
