The king of DIY

Have a question for you I'm just getting back into the hobby I have a 180 gallon fish tank I had a stand built its secured to the floor with some Hardy back on the top It's not perfectly level can I just place a few shims under the tank itself it level it before I fill it. Its not a large gap A 16 of an inch
Why are you yelling mate. this isnt a kids channel
What paint did you use?
Magnetic catches would have been more expensive but would have lasted longer and looked better, just a thought .
Longtivity! lol
If it's not providing any structural integrity, 1/4 inch plywood, would be fine. It's cheaper and lighter. Also, you could make the ends of the panels longer so that it looks like one long skirt from end to end.
I dunno.
french style cleats would look better. I think it was the 375 you put those on. Don't remember exactly
How would you paint these stands??
Awesome Build! Great information about the plywood.
Cool build! Are you using Styrafoam support on those rimmed tanks?
Why does this only has 3 frames a sec?
Great and cheap tip 😁 xx
HAFELE KIKO CLIPS!!! They are strong and pop on/off.
Use them all the time.
Carpenter and joiner.
TRUST ME you won't want to use anything else.
I would use dowels painted black
Glue in pegs where the pilot holes are drill hole in said pegs put board on then put nail in hole in peg
Should of wrapped them before putting the tanks in place
You should of used magnetic clips
i hope the stands ar staibel i se it moving when you tuk of the panell ,no cros bars?
You could always strategically place tall growing potted plants in the spaces between the tanks. Will still camouflage the hardware underneath, will look amazing, will purify air and bring a little outside in, ya? Some lucky bamboo, some ficus, some ferns….they'd end up hugging the tanks and look all tropical, especially if it's humid and warm in there! I'm a bit of a plant junkie though and you don't seem to have a cat that will eat the leaves LOL
You should consider sunken lights
Instead of painting the floor you should do an Epoxy finish.
<3
That’s a great idea!! Been thinking about building a tank stand and was really worried about how I was going to handle covering everything!
I love you Joey but huh? I'm glad that looks nice and convenient for you. That's a little Wile E. Coyote for me. Nonetheless, I look forward to what's next! 🙂
Are you using power tools?? DALE NO POWEERTOOLS!
Hey use tool box liner and 2 inch velcro. Works soooo much easier and cheaper:) and its weatherproof
