hi have u ever kept blue angels? these are really good in tank if you can get the wild variety. really nice…i had 6 once 3 yrs back…they all expired when i was shifting my house….presently i am having 7 altums in a 120 gallon and 8 blue, 5 red-top , 6 yellow headed in another 120. unfortunately all my existing blues are evocatively breed.

I have a 40G with angelfish. Good luck with them once they get bigger and more aggressive.. Mine are lil shits that refuse to get along. Kinda hostile tank really.. if I knew they would become such jerks I would have got different fish. But I agree the platinums will look nice. I vote Neon tetra. Add that color & they stay kinda smaller then other tetras.

Altums are great, i get your point, they are expensive, but there are lot of wild pterophyllum scalare types that look great, almost like altums with their typical mouth and the care is not much different than common angelfish and price is cheaper than discus in my country. Fox example, rio nanay angelfish looks awesome, high almost like altum with spots and great color, rio manacapuru with red back look great too.
