I find using the dustpan half of a 'dustpan and brush' combo as a scoop, especially one with a rubber lip is a good way of getting sand/gravel out of a flat-bottomed tank.

Pretty fun 10 hours, at least for me would have been. The 375 is dream tank for me someday. I would suggest a few pots to act as caves also.
