Bro is that the lady lake home

UV sterilizers are good when on a decoupled system. It will never effect the plants at all, when you put the UV right before the fish tank inlet. Its all in the design of your system.
Any adverse effects on the plants with the use of the UV?

Nice way to kill your eyes looking straight at a UV lamp. These lamps are so strong they kill bacteria, so you should have known they are just like lightsabers very destructive.
Flat bench always kill the inner shoulder because of the rotation of the cuff and deltoid. Slightly incline the bench problem gone!!
Hi Bro… I am from Dominican Republic and in doing the UVI system 5 timbes… we almost ready the construction of the all grow beds and we are completing the first section (the first systwm) my cuestión is: what component we can have instead of the topical clarifyer?
Holy crap man, never turn on your uv bulb without it being behind a uv inhibiting shield, especially the H.O. smart uv's. You will literally burn your retinas. It dosent take much.
DO NOT follow this video. UV sterilizers destroy your available Iron, Boron, and Zinc and cited in Dr Resh's Hydroponic Food Production. I have also tested this. This will only cause you more plant problems like Phosphorous lock out due to the lack of available boron and other issues that most people misidentify. Fine for fish only systems but UV has no place in aquaponics unless its for your line in.
The media in the filter is for the beneficial bacteria to colonize, as is the walls of the DWC pool and the bottom of the rafts, i think the only beneficial bacteria that will be killed by the UV sterilizer are the free swimming ones. Can anyone confirm or correct my hypotesis?

Just a thought my tilapia eat algea . i acually dont mind it growing in tank if they let it. (they dont they eat all of it)
I just use a quadruple combo for algae combat.
1. A black tank
2. Fish that will eat it. ( Sarasa comet goldfish for me)
3. Cover the fish tank mostly to create dappled shade. Usually using just a few boards.
4. The best thing…. Sea Kelp powder. Not only does it deeply tint the water to greatly fight algae and lower fish stress… it acts as a fertilizer and a teaspoon will darken the water in my 150gal tank for a month. Fertilizer ratio is 0 – 0 – 17. Has micronutrients as well.

What about algae scrubber which is using natural light design it into your system to much nutrients not enough plants ? UV will kill beneficial bacteria ? No ?

Dude, your UV sterilizer will nuke all your beneficial bacteria. UV sterilizers are great for swimming pools, horrible for Aquaponics. Try combating algae with shade covers over open water, and daily maintenance wiping the water edges around your tanks and beds.
That's why Nelson and Pade use BLUE fish tanks instead of white. Blue (or dark) tanks inhibit the development of algae.
