I would think since you are looking at more than 4 harvests, 5 or even 6 tanks would be a good idea, anyway. 5 tanks brings you down to 67.2 ratio: 6 tanks brings you down to 56 ratio. That puts you in the money, with change. Sure they can survive; but more energy used to suck in air means less weight gain, and potentially more stress, as oxygen starved fish jockey for position at the top of the tank. Can do it Versus should you do it: is the God level 10 approach my man Brooklyn is working toward here. Less fish stress=less you stress…. What I'm thinking. My $0.02
I understand the calculations but one part is lost on me. When you calculate the required tank size, whatever that number is, you get a liter/gallon total. In a standard four tank system, is this the total liter/gallons of all tanks or each individual tank?
Striving to be an aquaponics lesser god, not a biscuit head, back yard, home brew hack (Although that's where I am going to set up my first system).
