We are here to push the movement of aquaponics in a forward direction. Our primary focus is help you in your adventure with aquaponics by providing you with the highest level of information. Aquaponics is still in its infancy and we predict that it will be the go to method of farming by many families and urban farmers. Our job is to ensure that they are taught correctly.

  1. Is there a way i could stack multiple dwc beds and using the bottem bed as the sump tank?

I am a carpenter by trade, and there is always lumber at the job site.

The plants that id have in the dwc would be leafy greens. And i knowbthey don't take up much vertical room.

Grow towers would be an expensive alternative

  2. Hi Brooklyn,
I have a 1500 gallon intex pool. It sits 3 feet from my fence on the top of a 5 foot drop off to my parking area.
My plan is to gravity feed the water to the parking space into Radial flow and Biro filters. If i am using 330 gal IBC chopped in half for DWC, do i need a seperate Sump tank?
Or can i pump from bio filter to the DWC at the start of the green house?

I can also make a video and upload to my channel. Do you respond to that kind of media?

  3. Hello there, as i am learning from your videos and i can really say that this really shed light to my questions. i hope you can help me with some questions that was not raised from your videos i watched.

    1. Can Tiger prawns introduce to the aquaponics system?
    2. Can i let go of the sump tank if i dont have a grow bed? I'm planning to grow lettuce on a shallow water culture system using 8 inches pipe.
    3. Which part of the fish tank (top, bottom, side) should the water comes out then go to the vortex or swirl filter?
    4. How many fish (red tilapia) can a 1,000 liters of water (IBC water tank) hold and how many lettuce must i plant to make fish and plants survive in the system.

I wanna thank you in advance and i hope you keep this channel open and keep on posting videos about aquaponics. You really helps a lot of people.

  4. Thanks for answering my questions.
Your channel has been one of, if not the best, aquaponics channels going around.
    Keep up the great work.
    Mat from Australia.

  5. Just finished watching Ep32 and I have a question. Hypothetically this is my system. Fish tank to, ebb and flow media beds to DWC to, vertical NFT to, sump tank, back to fish tank. You advocate a split water system as opposed to this, why is that?

And, if you are using your ebb and flow media bed as a bio filter do you need a mechanical filter to get rid of the solids. Btw, I would be using warms in the beds to help with the breakdown of nutrients.

Also, I would have multiple media beds going into multiple DWC, then to the NFT. Should I do one media bed to one DWC, or what?
