The School of Aquaponics

Hello Aquqponics God
i wanna build a 12,000 fish farm, and i have got 30mx10m area
i wanna know how many growbeds, fish tanks sizes and sump tank size.
Had an Idea! What if you chopped your square sump tank alittle lower than in half and then added a rock box with a bell siphon that dumped directly into sump tank. It would be piped from the inlet in the sump tank where the 2 fish tanks were flowing from. You would just have to put a 90degree angel on your 2'' pipe and divert the water up. Because it seems you fish tanks might be high enough to do so?
Going to put a system together in my basement. I got 2 rooms to use. I'm with you, I'll pay. I wont be a maintenance man anymore!!! I'm with you , it a true passion. This will be a model for a commercial business. Looking at 14 acres right now so if I spend $5k , yea its worth it. Remember folks , you gotta eat. Whooa!!!!
Hmm, Aquaponics God? A little self confident.
what material do you use for your floating rafts?
Aww shit, just found out we had another Devil Dog here. Nice!
The ground would pull heat our of the fish tanks.
Are worms good for Aquaponics?
How small can this system be???
Please add the specs or links for your equipment used like pump, blower, bead filter…. Thank you
I like this unusual design. It makes the install simpler since you don't need to sink your sump and fish tanks. My only concern is how often would you need to clean your pump and bead filter to avoid them from significantly slowing down the water flow rate since the solids go through them directly before any other form of solids settling filter?
I live in Ohio with 2 acres. I want to do outdoor seasonal aquaponics system media bed and deep water. Would you recommend burying the sump tank to keep the water cooler? I was thinking canopy over fish tanks and burying sump tank. Is there any negative impacts in high water temps in aquaponic systems? I have Excavating equipment so digging not an issue. I’m thinking of fish life and taste quality .
I can't wait tok get to the point where I'm dropping racks on aquaponics! Maybe less when the aquaponics God store opens up!
953.9 liters. That's like a kiloliter. Or $1.00/l.
Sweet setup. Can't wait to see it in action producing fish and plants.
I have an aquaponic grow bed attached to my 500 gallon cichlid tank. My bio filter converts the ammonia to nitrates. I try to keep my nitrates below 40ppm with water changes. I have pathos, lucky bamboo, umbrella palms in the grow bed with clay ball substrate. Will these plants do well with nitrates below 40 ppm?
8K to 10K but that did not include the nursery..
what's your ROI for your new aquaponics setup?
