Have you tried gelling food? My wife mixes powder with standard gelatin and then lets it set up. It's like the consistency of a hot dog but finer "meat" so to speak. She then cuts into 1/4" cubes and freezes. We take a few cubes a few times a day and just toss them in the tank. As it warms, the fry can start to pick it apart and they go nuts for it! It will take them several hours to consume a small cube so it spaces out how often we have to feed. But it also reduces (eliminates) the rotting food on the tank bottom. Once they get bigger and don't have to eat as often then we just switch over to small pellets or whatever. We're actually feeding our bigger fry flake food right now, something my wife had laying around from her other fish tanks and isn't using anymore. The protein content is right so why not.
Hi Greg, how do you treat your new water that you are using during your water changes?
Hi Greg! how old does the fry in this video?
I have some female tilapia with mouth full of eggs uhm when is the right time to harvest them , she's in my breeding colony.1 male 6 female.
Thank you for sharing your expert knowledge. I ham a subscriber to your channel and appreciate the high quality information. I look forward to seeing more videos!!!
When do you start using the fish tank power filter? I assume if you start too early, then fry could get sucked into it. But I also think it will make it easier to keep your tank clean. How old are they before you use the filter?

I really like your lay-out
Interesting, for food I use powdered pellets and gelatine to make a kind of jelly for food
I had 4 females hatch eggs and produce fry. I have no idea how to estimate how many fry I have. At least 500, perhaps 1000. How big of a fish tank do I need to support that many fish? I know I cannot keep and sustain that many fish for a long period of time. I simply do not have the resources. The fry are currently 1.5 weeks old.
