Hello Everybody!
Thank you for following us at RAS Aquaculture! For those who remember, we were running smile box on a biofloc systems. However, it was difficult to control the biofloc because of the lower flow inside the box that formed sluge that is poisonous to the crab! Hence, we have converted this Smile Box system to a clear water RAS system, with the full package (solid removal, ammonia removal, etc). We are currently using this set-up for soft shell crab production, and it is quite a compact set up!

is it necessary to de-claw all crabs (regardless of weights) before stocking?
