How do you get the fry from the females? I'm assuming you probably net her out. But does she still hold the babies while being netted or will she spit them out?
Nice! You classify your fish by food grade, aquaponics etc etc is this depending the size? I just harvested fry for the first time some are big other still small and they are about 40'days old.
when you measure them are u measuring their width or their length?

Hi GregThank you for the detailed information. Can this be done for commercial purpose? Can someone make a living from this operation? How much initial investment is required? How much is the monthly operations cost? How many months are initially required becoming profitable operation? We live in Canada hence we have to accommodate this operation in our basement due to weather conditions!

what kind of biosecurity do you have there?
You mentioned that you and your grandson clean the tanks when needed. Can you do a video or give the steps on just how you do the cleaning. I'm interested in trying to keep my two tanks clean and am sure that you have a good system for doing that. Thanks.
