Aeroponic Misters - Choosing the best nozzle material - Part 1

High-pressure aeroponic misters or spray nozzles are available in many different materials of construction: Brass, cast iron, stainless steel, PVDF (Polyvinylidene), CPVC which are Polymers – and even titanium.

Many factors need to be considered when selecting the appropriate material of manufacture for spray nozzles:
Temperature, Corrosion, Abrasion, and Cost.

Getting it right can save you time, money and a few headaches.

  1. Loving the channel HTG. I was in the middle of designing my own high pressure aeroponic system and I stumbled onto your channel and its been very helpful. Cheers mate and keep it up!

  2. Any links? Maybe put in the description? You also cut out when you were taking about the pressure…. when you go up or down in pressure, within spec, does that increase or decrease droplet size?

  3. What about copper plated with nickel, these are the only ones I can seem to find here, the manufacturer says they should not have any issues, what is your feedback about it?

  4. Hello, does anybody have a clue about which Tee-connector to use for the nozzle with 1/8 male thread? I just can't find it anywhere…
    Thanks!
